Affirmed. I would have never thought one rather harsh sounding word could bring so much rejoicing! Finally, today after months of waiting, we heard the words we have been waiting to hear, the appeal in E’s case had been affirmed. Over, done with, finished-all that’s left is to finalize our son’s adoption. Wow. I am beyond grateful, I’m almost giddy. As I looked into his little face tonight, I saw his future and it looks bright. I am blessed beyond measure to be the mother of this little guy- and cannot wait until it’s finally official and I can plaster his name and face all over the place!!

Christie, that is wonderful news! And it will be so nice to see photos of your little man! Praying alongside you for an adoption date before the 31st. My son was adopted in late March of this year at 2 yrs. 8 months after fostering him since he was 6 months old. I am amazed at how much he remembers and recalls from the adoption party we had at the courthouse (the first of many parties). He’s actually tells me “I wanna be dopted again, Mama!” because he associates it with such a joyful and special time! May your family and little E. bask in God’s goodness in how fortunate you are to have one another! Blessings ~
